She is currently a graduate student at the University of Virginia specializing in community and public health nursing. Patterson-Dailey

Timothy Duncan Dailey Jr, son of Tim and Dee Dailey, and Kelly Marie Patterson, daughter of Russell and Debbie Patterson are scheduled to be married on September 25, 2010. Tim and Kelly’s relationship is just like every love song a country singer has ever written. They met in elementary, became best friends and slowly worked into a serious relationship in high school. After they both graduated from Brookwood High School, Kelly went on to college at the University of Georgia Southern and Tim enlisted into the U.S. Navy with aspirations of being involved in the Navy’s Special Operation Program.
With any military branch, having a set schedule is unheard of when you are in a deployable status so Tim’s time to see Kelly was at minimum. And with Kelly constantly studying and working there was barely anytime to see each other. Needless to say the first few years of a long distance relationship was spent over the phone. In 2007 Tim finally completed Seabee Dive School and was assigned to his first duty station at Underwater Construction Team One, located in Virginia Beach. There was finally time to spend with Kelly and both of their families. Over the next two years Tim and Kelly took frequent trips to see each other, driving nine hours from Virginia to Georgia and vice versa.
In the spring of 2009 Kelly took an internship in Hampton Roads, Virginia at Sentera Rehabilitation Center. What used to be a nine hour drive turned into a 45 minute drive for the both of them. Of course marriage for them was always talked about but never acted upon. So just like every other couple scared of commitment they welcomed their first puppy into both of their lives. A beautiful, purebred labrador retriever named Happi whom they both still love and care for a year and a half later.
But just like all good things, four months had come and gone, and the luxury of a short car ride had come to an end. Kelly had finished all of her intern hours and it was time for her to move back home to Georgia, leaving Tim and Happi in Virginia. In May of 2009 Kelly graduated with her degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology. Later that summer Tim was then deployed to Spain with dive jobs in Italy, England and in Rota, Spain. After returning home in December, Tim decided that coming home to an empty house was not the lifestyle he wanted and that seven years had been long enough. So Christmas night, Tim got down on one knee and proposed to Kelly at the Patterson lake house.
Not even 36 days later Tim was rapidly deployed to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti for Humanitarian relief leaving Kelly with all the joys of wedding planning. Once he returned Kelly had unfortunately finished all the wedding planning. So now they both eagerly await for the day when the both say “I do,” and move into their new home in Virginia. The rest of their lives together will be nothing short of Perfect!
