Is This What Jesus Meant?

As I sit in my hotel room in southern Jerusalem overlooking the city of Bethlehem, I cannot help but wonder if the Church in its various forms of Christianity is anything like Jesus intended.  After His resurrection Jesus commissioned his disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded” (Matthew 28:19).  More...

Snellville United Methodist Church's 125th Anniversary

Thus began what we know of today as Snellville United Methodist Church. More...

The most Christ-like people I have ever known

Reverend George Ivey

God has blessed me with the gift of seeing the qualities of Jesus in other people so that I can encourage His work in them. C. S. Lewis emphasized the need for this ministry when he proposed that many more people might be drawn to Christ if they knew the similarities they share with Him rather than the dissimilarities. (James 3: 9). More...
