Outdoor Production of "Robin Hood"

Fifth Row Center, a community theater based in South Hall County, has announced a unique outdoor production of "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood."  This will be a summer fundraiser for the group.

"The play is a tongue-in-cheek twist on the old classic," according to director Melissa Thomas.  "Think of it as what might happen if Monty Python came to Sherwood Forest."  This play will be enjoyed by children and adults alike and will be held in a renaissance festival setting.

Performances will be held August 8 and 9 on the picturesque lake lawn of Sterling on the Lake, on Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch. In case of rain, a performance will also take place on August 10.  Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the event.  Bring your own chairs or blankets.  A pre-show will start at 7:00 and will include a juggler, balloon artist, glitter tattoos, hair braiding, photo opportunities and theater merchandise.

Fifth Row Center was founded by veteran actress and drama coach Donna Chalmers of Flowery Branch.  The group's goal is to offer family-friendly entertainment close to home at a reasonable price, while giving lovers of live theater an opportunity to participate on stage or behind the scenes.
The theater's production of  "To Kill A Mockingbird" played to enthusiastic audiences in April.
