Most advanced radiation therapy cancer treatment now available
Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia – Snellville, a Vantage Oncology affiliate, unveiled its brand new cancer facility by opening its doors to the public with a formal ribbon cutting and open house supported by the Snellville Commerce Club on Thursday, October 20. Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia and its doctors proudly celebrated the unveiling of its new Snellville facility to offer the latest in state-of-the-art technology for Gwinnett and surrounding counties. Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia, a Vantage Oncology affiliate, has expanded the Snellville services and offers the latest in state-of-the-art technology for Gwinnett and surrounding counties. Varian’s TrueBeam® allows doctors to optimize treatments delivered with incredible accuracy with the latest technology needed for cancer patients, such as Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). One of only two locations in Georgia offering this technology, Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia – Snellville (RCOG) is a leader in oncology treatment and brings advanced treatment close to home.

A part of the Snellville community for 27 years, this center recently expanded to a state-of-the-art facility re-located to 1770 Presidential Circle, just down the road from Eastside Medical Center. Lead by Medical Director John Gargus, M.D., RCOG - Snellville is one of five Vantage Oncology affiliated radiation therapy treatment centers located throughout metro Atlanta.
“Our new facility offers expanded services, and easier access in a beautiful environment that complements the great care we provide to our patients and friends,” said Gargus. “This is simply part of our continued efforts to exceed expectations and better serve our patients.”

On Thursday, October 20, Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia unveiled the new location with an open house for physicians, clinicians, Snellville residents and community leaders. Dr. Gargus gave an extended tour of the facility complete with demonstrations of Varian’s TrueBeam to Snellville Mayor Jerry Oberholtzer, U.S. Rep. Brett Harrell, Snellville Council Elect Diane Krause, Candidate for Snellville City Council Bobby Howard and Candidate for Snellville City Council Mike Sabbagh. Also on-hand to support their new neighbors were members of Eastside Medical Center including Chief Executive Officer Kim Ryan, Chief Operating Officer Dustin Greene, and Director of Marketing and PR Pattie Page.

Clinical Directors provided tours of the facility and gave community leaders a preview of the future of oncology treatment in Snellville.

“I applaud Dr. Gargus and the partners, physicians and staff of Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia – Snellville for choosing to expand and provide such an innovative service to our citizens,” said Rep. Harrell.

The facility’s support from local businesses and political leaders further strengthens to cement Snellville as a local leader in cancer treatment.

“Bringing this beautiful new facility to the Snellville community with a dedicated staff, the most advanced radiotherapy technology – TrueBeam, will undoubtedly provide all cancer patients new hope and a brighter future,” said Diane M. Krause, Snellville Councilwoman Elect.
