Colors of Spring

Not every good picture requires that the subject look directly at the photographer.  Andrew Moss, 4 month old, proved this to me recently when he posed for his first Easter picture but had an eye to eye connection with the bunny.  Andrew is the first child of Lawrenceville police officer Brent Moss and his wife Maranda.  Based on our limited time with him, we predict he will have fearless nature.
Monique Martinez, a Senior who takes most classes at Perimeter College, came for her Central Gwinnett Cap and Gown portrait, toting along new puppy Juicy.  Juicy came from a litter of ten puppies, but now lives the pampered life with new owner Monique
Sometimes your best friend happens to be your brother.  Sandy Ford, first baseman, and Scotty Ford, left fielder, are 4 year old twins, who are in their second year playing baseball in Grayson.  The boys have slept in the same room since they were one years old and share a love of riding dirt bikes.  They also are motorcycle fanatics with a special interest in Harleys.
Sometimes your best friend is not your brother but might as well be.  While doing Lacrosse pictures, I was happy to take a picture of Coach Smith and his “Three sons”. I only much later learned that this meant sons Beckett and Thatcher Smith  and official family best friend Isaac Kerns.  Coach Smith is part of a group of men and women that have brought the next great sport—Lacrosse--to Grayson by means of the Grayson Athletic Association.
When the colors of Spring arrive, we know its Prom Season.  Grayson High School kicked off the Season for us and YES we were happy when one of our favorite Seniors Kelcey Banks was crowned Queen along with King Fred Castro.   Fred is active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes;  Kelcey is just one of those students our Magic Moment staff gets to know not simply  because she is in many activities --Cheerleading, Cheer Leadership Council, Spanish Honor Society  to name a few–but also because  she has a camera ready smile at all times.
Another memorable  prom picture comes from Loganville Christian Academy.  The founders, Christy and Doug Monda, posed with their beautiful daughter, Haley.  Haley is a junior at LCA and her birth was the catalyst for the Monda’s research into Christian education.  The school was founded in 1998 and started with only 68 students.  They now have around 558 and just built a beautiful gymnasium.   Christy Monda now serves as the school’s administrator and Doug Monda is the Chief Financial Officer.
Finally, we ventured into Tiger Country where the  starting Archer High School Administrative team, Principal Dr. Buck”Buchanan ,  Administrative Assistant  Susie Kiefaber, and Assistant Principal Anne Waters-Miller, show how energized they look although they’ve been operating out of their little trailer, adjacent to the Archer construction for many months now.  While all three come from years spent at venerated Parkview High School, this picture aptly demonstrates this talented team is now prepared for the Ups and Downs of opening  a new high school.
