Eddie Rawlins is again hosting Pickin’ in the Grayson City Park in 2009 with the first session scheduled for the last Saturday in April and running every month until the last Saturday in September. The pickin’ will start at 6:30 PM and will be held in the large pavilion and there is no charge for these events. The audience will have an opportunity to be entertained by amateur and professional bluegrass, country, gospel, & R&R musicians, depending on the tastes of the musicians who participate. Musicians are invited to bring their instruments and have an opportunity to play in this acoustic-based event. Microphones for singers will be provided. The pickins were well attended last year and guests and musicians are encouraged to bring their own chairs as the available park seating was often filled. Guests should bring their own beverages and snacks and no alcoholic beverages are allowed. Mark your calendars for this great family-oriented, free entertainment. The scheduled dates are April 25, May 30, June 27, July 25, August 29, and September 26.
